Training companies who want to use me as a freelance trainer.
I'm happy to do some training with you. Please check through the following questions and let me know if you are able to provide the items I've requested.
Are your computers equipped with sound cards and speakers? Video and audio are increasingly important to delegates.
I prefer to train facing the delegates, can you set the room up to accommodate this?
I use Power Point slides with an overhead projector. Please confirm that that room has this provided. If there are 1-2 delegates, this item is not important as long as they can see my screen without craning their necks or getting out of their chairs.
Do you provide reference books for the delegates? If so, please can you make sure that these are provided at the beginning of the course.
Do you provide lunch for me as well as the delegates? If not, let me in advance.
Has the training room got air conditioning for the summer? If not, is the room adequately ventilated?
I work hard with training companies to provide a good service and I'm reasonably flexible. However, I reserve the right to stop the training course if the facilities are not adequate for the job. Over the last 10 years I've very occaisionally trained delegates in sub standard conditions. As the delegates blame me for bad accommodation or machine failures rather than the training company , I prefer to know in advance that these are of an adequate standard.
