Film & Video Umbrella, July-Sept 2005

Film & Video Umbrella Site - Film and Video Umbrella curates and produces film, video and new media projects by artists which are commissioned and presented in collaboration with galleries and venues across England.

We laid out the HTML and did all the backend code in Java/ MySQL. We also set up the webserver to run IIS / Jakarta Tomcat

Canon Photos, Turkey May 05

Canon Champions League 2005 - Canon site to allow Champions League fans to search for photos taken by Canon staff in Istanbul. Canon staff members took photos of the fans. The fans were then given a postcard with their photo reference on it. This allowed them to enter their reference on the website and find their photo. Canon staff members uploaded the photos to the website overnight and a script ran in the morning which categorised all recent photos and put them in a database.

The site is run on IIS 6/Jakarta Tomcat with mySQL database and Java 1.4. We wrote all servlet/JSP code and set up the database and the webserver.

Canon Euro 2004 Photo site May 04 to Jul 04

Canon Euro 2004 - Canon site to allow Euro 2004 fans to search for photos taken by Canon staff in Portugal. Canon staff members took photos of the fans. Kibook. We are helping multimedia and design specialists, Kibook, with their backend coding on several high profile projects. We are working with them on Java coding, writing JSP and Servlets for their projects. We are also helping them with setting up databases in postgres and mySQL running with Tomcat in a linux environment.

Part of our work with them involves setting up a Windows 2000 server running PHP, Tomcat and mySQL for a large client of theirs.

We are writing Java code to get information from a database and display it within large Flash MX interfaces.
