Duplex Cleaning/ Martyn Cornwall Design, October 2002

http://www.duplex-cleaning.com This site is currently being constructed by Martyn Cornwall Design. This is a brochure site currently being constructed for an industrial cleaning equipment company. It is an example of how we work with new media companies which require senior programming skills.
We were commissioned to build a database in mySQL for their product images and a search/result page in PHP for their product ranges.

Madeira CD Site, October 2002

This is a PR tool written by our associate company for the Madeira Tourist Board as an information resource on this European destination. It is distributed on CD-ROM as part of a free information pack to the travel trade as well as journalists.
We produced a new version for World Travel Market 2002, redesigning the site. We cleaned up the html and put it into XHMTL. You can see the example site at here

Beta Systems; September 2002

Beta Systems is a multinational with a world reputation in computer main frame construction, and attracts some of Europe?s leading banks as customers. They had made a strategic decision to move their money management system completely online.

This required skilled knowledge and ease of use in the most sophisticated Java programming. We were flown out to their international headquarters in Berlin to train a hand-picked European team. We were tasked with ensuring they had the skills to implement all aspects of the change when they returned to their own country.

The four day course covered Dreamweaver MX, Javascript, DHTML and Perl.

Signature Industries, Woolwich, London - We gave a two day introduction to Dreamweaver MX for this company selling security products and helped them build a B2B e-commerce site.

Estate Angels, September 2002

We acted as online security consultants to this new home search company. Estate angels run a site which contacts free of charge all estate agents in the area a consumer wants to buy a home. The site runs on PHP/mySQL and has a database of around 50 tables with 80mb of data.

The in-house programmer commissioned us to assess their online security and client confidentiality following concerns over this and their compliance with data protection.T his involved looking into how they had written their code and had set up their database. We carried out penetration testing to simulate the way a hacker might attempt to gain access to their sensitive data. While our recommendations remain confidential we can say that they included the reduction of ‘hacker friendly’ code on the site

The Anvil is a theatre and music venue in Basingstoke. We gave a two day introduction to Flash MX Action Script, supporting the in-house team to enable them to build a more effective site promoting the centre.

Ideal Mastering is a young, entrepreneurial company which masters and produces CDs and cassettes. Its key audience is bands needing a professional demo CD; but it also provides a service for clients ranging from production companies to PRs.

We developed an advanced JavaScript based DHTML interface for the site, which includes complex Java applets. These allow customers a very quick and simple way of calculating prices online.
